Super Star

In mid-1980's, the Star Company (most known for their NBA sets) produced various MLB sets that usually focused on one specific player. Most of the sets came as three card panels (think 1970's Hostess MLB sets) and were polybagged. Additionally, some of the sets were autographed and hand-numbered by the player featured.

Lucky for me, Steve Garvey was one of the sets produced by the Star Company. Below are images for each of the twelve panels that comprised the thirty-six card set that was released in 1984.

Note: Because these are panels, the images are smaller than I normal post. Sometime in the future, I'll post images and provide comments on each of the individual cards themselves.

With that said, I'd point out that the Star Company must of felt the need to use a lot of Padres images because many of the images obviously don't sync up with the content on the card.
